Prerequisites:* | These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. A master's degree in community health sciences or public health with content equivalent to that offered by the department. A master's degree in the basic medical sciences, biological or social sciences or professional master's degrees, such as nursing, education, or social work. The master's degree must have been thesis-based, although the Department may accept evidence of an extensive publication and research background as an alternative to a thesis.A letter stating financial support is also required from the proposed supervisor. Once the student has identified an advisor and a tentative position has been negotiated, the Selection Committee will recommend admission of the student to the Faculty of Graduate Studies. A minimum grade point average of 3.0 based on the last 60 credit hours of courses is required. |
